A new Moto Guzzi engine is being launched in the 2018 Moto Guzzi V85. The construction design is proprietary and excludes the entire current Moto Guzzi production: in fact, it is a two-cylinder 90° transverse air-cooled 850cc which, thanks to its complete redesign, has 80 HP of maximum power.

At 505 pounds wet, the 2020 Moto Guzzi V85 TT Adventure is comparable to the middleweight ADV machines, and it is equipped with a massive 6.1-gallon fuel tank, making 200+ miles in one sitting. The vintage ADV-inspired Guzzi’s been entirely stripped of its bodywork, which has been replaced with all CAD-designed items, including a tank cover with an open center channel, a tracker-themed headlight nacelle, sporty front fender, and dual-sport bars and handguards. Described as a “Gentleman Scrambler,” the transverse V-Twin is also. Like most Moto Guzzi (and most motorcycles overall), the V85 is designed around the engine. The Euro 4-compliant, 853cc, transverse v-twin pumps out 80 horsepower and 59 ft-lb of torque. Moto Guzzi believes the mid-sized machine is the most relevant and capable for the broadest number of riders and abilities – hence the 853cc engine.
